چکیده

Abstract: Aim: To develop hydrogel films for hydrophilic drug delivery with citric acid-cross-linked Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) and (MC). Materials Methods: The existing study is concerned the development of HPMC/MC employing acid as a cross-linking agent in order to accomplish loading while simultaneously releasing drugs (ciprofloxacin hydrochloride). Thermal analysis ATR-FTIR spectroscopy were used explore films. Drug loading, content, swelling ratio, vitro release, carboxyl hemolytic assay all measured on Cross-linking through ester was revealed by spectra, whereas crosslinking means formation validated thermal well SEM. Results: A good equilibrium ratio 14.71 found phosphate buffer pH 7.4. With low swelled most showed better release. addition methylcellulose aided creation firm, homogeneous dispensing ciprofloxacin hydrochloride. Conclusion: films' biocompatibility demonstrated using experiment. It observed that had been cross-linked tendency sustain release up 4 hr. Keywords: methylcellulose, Methylcellulose, Citric acid, Hydrophilic drug, Cross-linked films, Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, delivery.

Evaluation of hydrophilic properties of acrylonitrile/acrylic acid copolymer films dendrigrafted with citric acid

The present study investigates the hydrophilic properties of acrylonitrile/acrylic acid P(AN/AA) copolymer films with various acrylic acid (AA) contents dendrigrafted with citric acid from zero to fourth generation numbers. It was found that the hydrophilicity of the dendrigrafted films was a complicated phenomenon. Various parameters such as intermolecular hydrogen bonding, roughness and activ...

Citric acid cross-linking of starch films

This paper shows that citric acid can cross-link starch and improve the tensile strength, thermal stability and decrease the dissolution of starch films in water and formic acid. The poor mechanical properties and water stability of starch have restricted its industrial applications. Although cross-linking is a common approach to improve the properties of starch products, current starch cross-l...

Chemically Cross-Linked Poly(acrylic-co-vinylsulfonic) Acid Hydrogel for the Delivery of Isosorbide Mononitrate

We report synthesis, characterization, and drug release attributes of a series of novel pH-sensitive poly(acrylic-co-vinylsulfonic) acid hydrogels. These hydrogels were prepared by employing free radical polymerization using ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) and benzyl peroxide (BPO) as cross-linker and initiator, respectively. Effect of acrylic acid (AA), polyvinylsulfonic acid (PVSA), an...
